When is my dog a senior?
When it comes to dogs, an old dog is not defined by the exact number of years of life, but by certain age characteristics:
- worn teeth
- Intestinal constipation
- reduced taste buds
- less active
- Signs of wear and tear on joints and bones
- more vulnerable immune system
- gray fur
- Hearing loss
- visual impairment
As a preventive measure, the dog should therefore be fed a biologically species-appropriate and varied diet with SANADOG in middle age in order to avoid the signs of aging as much as possible in advance. It is also a fact that dogs have been fed ready-made food throughout their lives and often suffer from heart, kidney, liver or thyroid diseases, as well as diabetes or obesity, at an early age.
